Daniel Bryan walks in the back and he sees Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Daniel wants to know what is going on. Hunter says he was called out and he saw the announcement of Raw versus Smackdown versus NXT for Survivor Series. It looks like someone is looking for a fight.
Daniel says he is looking for a fight so why don’t we just go fight right now.
Hunter and Daniel face off and Hunter says he didn’t bring his gear and he is wearing a suit. He is not looking for a fight, but he knows someone else who is. Shawn says it is cold and Hunter says Shawn isn’t looking for a fight.
Hunter tells the champ to come over and he says that Adam Cole is looking for a fight.
Daniel says if we are going to do it, do it right. Daniel Bryan versus Adam Cole for the NXT Championship.
Hunter likes the idea and makes the match.
Match Number Four: Daniel Bryan versus Adam Cole (with Roderick Strong) for the NXT World Championship
They lock up and Bryan with a side head lock takedown and Cole with a head scissors. They lock up and Cole with a side head lock. Cole with a take down and Bryan with a head scissors and Cole escapes. They lock up and Bryan with a wrist lock. Cole with a reversal. Bryan backs Cole into the corner and Bryan pushes Cole and slaps him.
Cole with forearms and Bryan with a European uppercut and kick. Bryan with a chop in the corner and he chops Cole again. Cole with forearms and kicks followed by a side head lock take down. Cole with a shoulder tackle and Bryan with a kick to the chest. Bryan puts the hand on the mat and stomps on the elbow.
Bryan with a surfboard into a dragon sleeper. Bryan with a knee drop to the head. Bryan with a European uppercut or two. Cole with a bicycle kick and Cole gets a near fall. Cole sets for a suplex but Bryan blocks it. Bryan suplexes Cole and both men go over the top rope to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Bryan goes for a back slide but Cole blocks it and Cole with a jumping neck breaker for a near fall. Cole with an elbow drop and he connects with another elbow drop. Cole gets a near fall. Cole with a figure four head scissors. Cole kicks Bryan in the corner and follows with forearms. Cole with a forearm and Bryan fires back. Bryan with a European uppercut and Cole with an Irish whip and Bryan flips out of the corner and hits a flying clothesline.
Cole with a kick and Bryan sends Cole over the top rope to the floor and Cole hits the apron. Byran with a flying knee off the apron. Bryan sends Cole back into the ring and Bryan goes up top for a missile drop kick and hits it. Bryan with a running drop kick into the corner and he puts Cole on the turnbuckles. Bryan with a Frankensteiner but Cole holds on and rolls through for a near fall. Bryan with European uppercuts.
Cole with a bicycle kick for a near fall. Bryan with a waist lock and Cole with a standing switch. Cole is sent to the floor and Bryan with a suicide dive. Bryan sets for a second one and Cole with a round kick and both men are down as we go to commercial.
We are back and Bryan is crotched on the turnbuckles. Cole sets for a superplex and Bryan escapes and he crotches Cole. Bryan sets for a spider German superplex and Bryan pulls himself up. Bryan goes for a diving head butt but misses when Cole moves. Cole with a fisherman’s neck breaker for a near fall. Cole pulls down the knee pad as he sets for the Last Shot and Bryan avoids it and applies a single leg crab. Cole reaches for the ropes but Bryan pulls Cole into the center of the ring. Bryan with a heel hook. Cole rolls to the ropes to force a break.
Bryan with kicks to the leg. Cole with forearms and Bryan with kicks and chops. Bryan goes for a move from a fireman’s carry but Cole with a lungblower for a near fall. Bryan with a LeBell Lock and then Bryan stomps on Cole’s head and neck. Bryan returns to the LeBell Lock. Cole tries to get to the ropes and Bryan pulls at the arm Cole uses to get to the ropes but Cole gets his foot on the ropes to force a break.
Bryan with kicks to the chest. Bryan misses a round kick and Cole with an O’Connor Roll but Bryan rolls through and Cole rols through again and gets a near fall. Bryan with a round kick to the head. Bryan sets for the running knee but Cole with a super kick and Cole hits Panama Sunrise followed by Last Shot for the three count.
Winner: Adam Cole (retains championship)
After the match, Roderick Strong celebrates in the ring with Adam Cole as the NXT roster makes their way to the ring.
